Welcome! You have reached the home page of Ashok Prabhu Masilamani.  This website originally started as a resource guide / technical pointer for  various domains  that I used to work.  Later I decided to include a section about myself and that has grown into what it is now.

    As of now I have split the technical resources into four domains -  my current research work, electronics (circuits and system design, IC design and FPGAs), Photonics (Fiber optics, photonic device resources) and RF / Microwave (RF design, Signal integrity resources).  Many sections are still incomplete and I hope to complete/update as and when I get time.  Also I am constantly trying to update the web links and I am sorry if you find any dead link.

About myself
 
    I am a Nano-fabrication researcher at Applied Nano Tools Inc.  Recently I graduated with my Doctoral degree from Nano-Photonic Research Lab (NPRL),  University of Alberta.  Although I have been working a lot on fabrication and charcaterization of silicon photonic devices lately, I have a mixture of  broad background in electronic system design, ROF optics, client server computing etc.   To know more about my research domains / work experience / projects look into the Resume / Research / project links.  Other than this, I am a person with a mixture of interests ranging from history, natural history, astronomy, music, cooking, electronic gadgets etc.
