Software and free utilities: ** - Free

AppCAD** - A Personal digital Assistant for RF, Microwave and wireless applications. This is provided free of charge by Agilent Technologies as a service to the RF and microwave design community.

RFSIM99** - This is a linear S-parameter based circuit simulator. Author: Stewart Hyde

NOVA-686 - Written as a design aid for the RF circuit designer, radio amateur, hobbyist, and student

HbFree** - Intended for Harmonic Balance Simulation of radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) analog non-autonomous circuits under multi-tone excitations. It was developed for MW mixers and power amplifiers design.

ViPEC** - A powerful tool for the analysis of high frequency, linear electrical networks. It takes a schematic description of the electrical network and performs a linear analysis in the frequency domain. The output is in the form of port parameters (S, Y or Z) with results presented on a user defined grid, Smith chart or table. It can also be used to compute other characteristics like stability factors and group delay.

ATLC** - A CAD package used for analysing and designing electrical transmission lines of arbitrary cross section. Also for the design of directional couplers.

QT Universal Circuit Simulator** - A circuit simulator with graphical user interface. The software aims to support all kinds of circuit simulation types, e.g. DC, AC, S parameter and harmonic balance analysis.

QuickSmith** - A Windows based Smith Chart Program which is useful in aiding RF design calculations and Smith Chart Plots. Author - Nathan Iyer

Cascade** - Calculates cumulative RF System Noise Figure, Gain etc. Author - Nathan Iyer

RF Design Utilities** - Microsoft Excel based extensive RF design utilities. Author - Lee Duffell

TonneSoftware.com** - RF Design Utilities

RF Design and Analysis** - A collection of functions, scripts, & Simulink models useful for designing and analyzing RF systems. Author - Jackson Harvey

Windows Smith Chart/Impedance Matching Tool** - Tutorial Author - Fabian Kung Wai Lee

TX-Line** - Transmission Line Calculator from Applied Wave Research

Arpeggio** - Fullwave EM simulator
